The Golden Compass

The Golden Compass has scored an amazing double, picking up the best Visual Effects awards from both the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and the British Academy of Film and Television Arts at this years ceromonies. We are extremely proud to have been an integral part of the Visual Effects team for the film, and the Oscar and BAFTA awards awarded to Mike Fink and his co-VFX supervisors are a great seal of approval from the rest of the industry.

Shanghai

April 2008 sees us start work on the pre-viz for Shanghai at Twickenham Film Studios. The film stars John Cusack and Gong Li in a period drama set in a pre-Pearl Harbour Shanghai.

FMX Stuttgart

Anyone visiting Stuttgart for the FMX Festival can catch Richard Perry and Pawl Fulker discussing the pre-viz and post-viz work on The Golden Compass. Forming part of a presentation hosted by Softimage/XSI on Thursday, May 8th 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at List-Saal: Turm B. We'll be demonstrating how we pre-viz a sequence using XSI software.
